Problema orario eventi

Non si vedono più gli orari bensì dei numeri incomprensibili!!

Getting worse at every version

With the latest update live camera view does not work any more. Regression Testing seems to be an unknown art in Taiwan. Stop introducing new features that nobody cares about and make it work properly for once!

Used to be pretty darn good

Update: I have reconnected the 1513 unit and everything works just like it did. It seems this the build of Surveillance Station. I am having trouble with this version or the newest version of Surveillance Station, I am not sure where this started. I previously used a DS1513+ with Surveillance station 7.0-3706 and 16 HIKVision cameras with little or no issues. I travel quite often, and it has always worked well over my Sonicwall VPN. (no web exposure to cams or station) To cut back as NAS units deployed and amount of spinning drives in my house, I moved to a DS3615SX with 8TB drives and the latest Surveillance Station 7.2-4602. I moved all the cameras over using the export feature. There are no data services on this unit right now other than Surveillance station and system resources are barely used. It seems every setting came over correctly, and locally the systems works as expected with no issues. The problem comes in with the App. This app was updated on the 5th from what I can see, so I don’t think I ever used the updated app because I have not gone anywhere. Since all this was new, I logged in to the VPN from cellular just to make sure everything is working. It seems slower to open, there is video smearing, and it does not seem to refresh all videos in a 4 cam view. Further, a 6 cam view will pull initial images from the camera and then crash. I have tried settings of video, types of video, video from Station and video from camera all with the same result. Single cam viewing seems to be fine, and while viewing resources of the server are again barely touched. I removed the app and reinstalled and that did not change anything. I am going to put my 1513 back online and test, but I really think it is the app not the server software. To me this is really a bad deal because I bough this unit to replaced all the Qnaps I had kicking around for various things specifically for how well the surveillance side of Synology worked. At this time I am the only one who has written a review of this version of the app (4.6.5) so I am hoping to see more feedback.

Works most of the time but has some annoyances.

Will let you view 1,4, or 6 cameras at once but not 2. This makes no sense. So those of us with only two cameras have to stare at 2 blank squares rather than just use the space properly and show 2 cameras. Who is in charge there?

Broken

The app can see the NAS, but login fails. Totally broken.

Doesnt work well with iOS 10

It became very buggy, but since last upgrade to to iOS 10 on my iPhone, it wont even play recorded footage or full screen live view

Needs update for iOS 10

App has stopped connecting locally since upgrading to iOS 10. When it does connect through the synology service, most of the functions dont work.

Not sure why it has bad reviews

Great app from great company. Works great for me... I think rating here is not just.

Ok

The app works ok. Several errors with playback and live viewing unless you toggle the play over http on the video settings; everything worked good once I did that with iPhone 7, iOS 10.

Connection problems with iOS10

App worked great but need to be fixed for iOS10. Connecting takes forever locally and seems to prefer quickconnect which causes severe lag issues. Just saw updates roll out for other apps and seems to have resolved issue with those so hoping for a fix soon.

Confused about bad reviews

This app is great. Works flawlessly for me. I swear synology has the whiniest user base ive ever seen. Ive had a synology server at home and a business for years now and used almost all the products associated with them and they work fine. Users seem to especially like complaining about the surveillance products (like camera licenses). I dont know if theyve ever compared other options but synologys surveillance stuff is going to save me thousands over the next few years and its better than all the other options i compared it to. Stop complaining about an awesome company with awesome products!

Latest update broke recording playback

This update crashes anytime I try to play a recording which is what I use the app for. I can still view cameras live.

Recordings crash

Since the last update trying to view any recordings causes the app the immediately crash out to the home screen. Live viewing is still working ok. This happens on both the iPhone and iPad version.

App works great, QuickConnect not so much...

I could totally relate to many of these other 1-star reviews, of being unable to login, or only half of my cameras working over cellular. Like many others I imagine, I setup DS Cam over wifi, and it worked just fine. It “kinda” worked over cellular. Later, I decided to learn more about how QuickConnect actually works, and realized it was probably the source of much of my grief. In short, if using QuickConnect, all of your video traffic has to be proxied through a relay server, of which there is only one in the entire US. See why this might be a problem? So, I decided to put in the effort, and get a public domain name for my home network, with dynamic DNS. I even got a public SSL cert from Comodo, so I wouldn’t get warnings about unsigned cert whenever I connected (note that there’s a somewhat hidden option to make Synology apps actually verify the cert, meaning by default you’re vulnerable to MITM attacks, pretty bad security decision in my opinion). After these changes, everything works reliably and as advertised. Login is fast and reliable, and video previews always work (they update a bit slow though). Drilling down into a single video feed is still a bit hit or miss for me (sometimes it starts after 10-20 seconds, or never at all). I suspect that has more to do with the Live Streaming configuration on the cameras, and is probably fixable with enough work. In summary, don’t use QuickConnect, while it may work once or twice, it’s too flaky to rely on.

Junk

This app has not been working for over a month. Fix it already. This is ridiculous.

See all those “Not Working” reviews? Answer here.

I was just about to join the “not working” bandwagon but finally found the solution: updating your camera’s firmware. I’m not entirely sure when DSCam stopped working correctly for me but yes, the other reviews are mostly correct: a spinning icon on a black screen despite a correct preview image. The issue either began with iOS 8.1 or when I upgraded to Surveillance Station 7 (which is still in beta at this time). I have a Foscam FI9828W and found that the company has frequent firmware upgrades. This was what was needed so please be curtain you have the most up-to-date firmware installed! Only 3 stars as I felt that the Synology software could have either detected as issue or suggested this as a solution more visibly.

Works with my brand new install

I was happy to discover it seems to work fine with my newly installed NAS.

Happy its been working okay

Ive installed a few NASs since the update and all live view functionality seems to work great. The app does crash more often than it should but usually come back ok after the crash.

Fix for https streaming

Ok, I spent several hours trying to figure out why this awesome piece of software wont stream over https if you connect outside of your home network. After running tcpdump on synology I figured that for some reason it requires RTSP port open in this mode. Add forwarding for 554 tcp on your router and go drink something watching your cameras again
